This is the minimum rate at step one of the grade.  Higher rates may be authorized in cases of hard-to-fill positions where it is appropriate to the qualification of the appointee.

DUTIES&RESPONSIBLITIES:
Performs pest surveillance and monitoring, production of quarterly reports on the surveillance; inspects exports commodities, treat if necessary and certify such export commodities in accordance with the requirements of the importing country; inspects and treat if necessary imported commodities in order to protect the country from introduction and further spread of new pests and diseases; conduct Quarantine inspections within the Pohnpei State Airport Terminal and other official ports of entry; submits monthly reports to the FSM Secretary of Resources and Developments and Pohnpei State Chief of Agriculture; and perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in Agriculture or related fields plus three years of work experience. Must be able to work after regular working hours and weekend and must have a valid driver license.
