It is the policy of the FSM Government that qualified FSM citizens is given first priority for employment consideration; with other Micronesian and U.S. citizens utilized in positions for which no qualified FSM citizens are available.

PL 26/1
$554.84 + $40 Cola = $564.84

This is the minimum rate at step one of the grade.  Higher rates may be authorized in cases of hard-to-fill positions where it is appropriate to the qualification of the appointee.

DUTIES (ILLUSTRATION ONLY):
To supervisory, office, and filled duties as described for the patrol officers and patrol sergeants; acts as a community ombudsman or community caretaker  to aid the general public with the delivery of government services and problems solving; coordinates and performs as a member of the D.A.R.E unit; liaison Public Affairs officer with other agencies and participates in the various selection procedures for new employees and for the Divisional promotion merit rosters; field training officer and liaison officer for the Division’s Unit; regularly confers with the Patrol Commander and Chief of Police; performs other duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements:
Graduation from accredited college or university with a college degree in Criminology or Law enforcement, Public Administration  or related field plus two (2) years of work experience in law enforcement or equivalent.
