INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY

The Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) Government is seeking well-qualified individual for the internships within the Division of Tourism under the Department of Resources & Development, FSM National Government, located in Palikir, Pohnpei

Duties & Responsibilities
To assist the Tourism Division to conduct market research on the travel industry trend after the COVID19 Pandemic on the global market, international market and the regional market. To identify potential new trends in the travel industry and the perception of current travelers on authentic experiences on cultural tourism. Identify potential niche market and niche products for FSM to target to supplement its current activities and attraction. To conduct desktop research on marketing entities to guide the Division for a framework for marketing arm for the FSM.

Qualifications Requirement
A college or university student studying business administration, economics, hospitality, market research and must be good command of spoken and written English. Computer literacy and be proficient in Microsoft Office and Canva.

Salary
The internship programs pay scale is at $300.00 bi-weekly. Under internship programs benefits are not included for it is a short-term contract.
