The Government of the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) seeks a well-qualified individual to fill one position for Grant and Financial Management Specialist, FSM National Government, Department of Health and Social Affairs in Palikir, Pohnpei FM 96941.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure the federal guidelines and the Financial Management System are adhered
to and advises on grant financial matters; Prepare expenditure reports, process allotments requests for all; PHIG Programs; oversees expenditures and advises management of potential problems and possible solutions; Develops and maintains a complete electronic filing system for all of the PHIG programs; Conducts regular and periodic review of financial reports to ascertain that all transactions have been properly executed as outlined in the Financial Management System; Processes and expedites requests from the State Programs for requisitions and fund authorizations as well as Short-term Contracts Services; Prepares Travel Authorizations, Plans and schedules trips and makes all necessary airline, hotel and car rental reservations for the program; Attend local and off-island (when appropriate) meetings and conferences related to PHIG Programs; Assists with preparation of grant budgets; Assist the Department of Finance in the preparation of the Federal Financial Report (FFR) for PHIG and other foreign grants as needed; Procurement of program/department supplies and equipment; Develop quarterly financial reports for PHIG and submit to the COO on a quarterly basis or as requested; Ensure that all federal grants received are expended in accordance with established rules, procedures and guidelines under grants’ terms & conditions, and other duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements:
Graduated from accredited college or university with a Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Business Administration plus 3 years of work-related experience.
Benefits:
A salary range of up to $1,000.00 bi-weekly depending upon the qualification of the applicant.
