It is the policy of the FSM Government that qualified FSM citizens is given first priority for employment consideration; with other Micronesian and U.S. citizens utilized in positions for which no qualified FSM citizens are available.

FSM Immigration & Passport Service Officer I
PL-26/1
$554.84 B/W + $40.00 COLA = $594.84

This is the minimum rate at step one of the grade.  Higher rates may be authorized in cases of hard-to-fill positions where it is appropriate to the qualification of the appointee.

DUTIES &RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in the boarding and inspection of incoming and outgoing aircraft and sea vessels; examine and verify travel documents and entry permits; assist in monitoring aliens within the FSM; assist in arranging and maintaining files and records; assist in collecting data on immigration, emigration, employment, and other related statistics; assist in conducting job site inspections and investigations; and perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in law enforcement or a related field, plus two (2) years of work experience in law enforcement or a related field.
