The Government of the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) seeks well qualified individual to fill the position of Early Hearing & Detection Intervention (EHDI) Follow-Up Coordinator at the Department of Health and Social Services, FSM National Government, Palikir, Pohnpei FM 96941.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Produce all memorandum, letters, correspondence and reports to be sent to the FSM States and as required by the FSM Early Hearing & Detection Intervention (EHDI) Project and Family Health Unit; To work with FSM States to ensure the goals and objectives of EHDI are met; Responsible for monitoring of FSM EHDI Program activities in the Four FSM States and providing inputs/comments for improvement; Daily monitoring of the Family Trac System to make sure that data is being entered by State EHDI staff; Responsible to follow up and clear the Family Trac system patient Queues; Assist in the preparation for conferences, workshops, training sessions, outreach activities, and technical assistance and during the actual event(s); Assist the State EHDI Program Coordinators in the FSM States in writing their respective work plans as well as budget preparations and consolidate Government Execution Work Plan and Budget for submission to the Grantor Agency; Responsible for the overall day to day planning and implementation of the administrative and non-medical aspects of all the FSM EHDI project activities; Responsible for all consolidating State submissions on the Three Years FSM EHDI Competitive Grant as well as Grant Performance Reports on the Electronic Hand Book (EHB); Responsible to follow up on the submission of the EHDI FFR’s with FSM Department of Finance and Administration; Develop contracts for the Project Evaluator, Speech Pathologist, Audiologist and other contracts for the EHDI program; Attend off-island and in country meetings and training activities s required by FHS and DHSA management; Develops and maintains positive rapport with families with children of hearing and their families; Understands, respects, and maintains the confidentiality and privacy of children with hearing loss and their families; Advocates for service or support for children with hearing loss and their families; and Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science or other related fields plus (3) three years of relevant work experience in relative field.
Salary:
A salary $25,000 per annum but not exceed $35,000 per annum depending upon the qualification of the applicant.
